It does brings a lot of benefits in terms of reducing upfront investment cost for start ups where they should be focusing on their core. And for the operating businesses, it would definitely help them in focusing their strategy at their core instead of getting distracted with non core functions. On the hind side, there are beliefs that company data's should still be within the premises instead of being placed at the 3rd party location.
